Visit of Reza Abbasi-Asl to our research group

Assistant Professor Reza Abbasi-Asl from UCSF visited our research group.

Assistant Professor Reza Abbasi-Asl from the University of California, San Francisco, gave a talk titled "Spatio-temporal Modeling in Neuroscience through Interpretable Machine Learning" to our research group at the Department of AI & Data Engineering (İTÜ Yapay Zeka ve Veri Mühendisliği Bölümü), Faculty of Computer and Informatics (İTÜ Bilgisayar ve Bilişim Fakültesi). During the presentation, Abbasi-Asl discussed the role of advanced machine learning tools in understanding brain functions and related neurological disorders. He specifically introduced solutions that integrate multi-modal spatio-temporal data collected from the brain and body at various resolutions, predict the functions of biological systems, and identify functional differences across neurological disorders.

Attendees gained valuable insights into the applications of advanced data analytics techniques in brain science. We would like to thank everyone who participated in this engaging and informative event.

*Abbasi-Asl is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences at UCSF, as well as a core faculty member at the UCSF Neuroscape Center.
